Eli started this journey with Domo crew in Israel, which was one of first promoters and labels to bring the progressive sound to Israel. Organizing events and releases, like VP rec’s first CD compilation “Inspirazzia”, brought him international acclaim and his first international bookings. In 2004, Zombi got his first serious club recognition when he became a resident at Zamir Club in Tel Aviv, and when he produced the “UK Groove Floor,” which was one of first stages to give progressive a proper location.
In 2005, his second CD “Subway Disco Stories” came out and he progressed to Lemon Club residency. He also produced his first independent party, mixing progressive and techno on 2 floors with international guests such as the well known Beckers.
In 2006, he and his partner started a weekly, Progressive Thursday, at Maxim Club. These parties brought a new standard to Tel Aviv’s night life scene, ongoing until 2008. This night featured the likes of D-Nox, Criss Source, Beckers, Kasey Taylor, Anti, Oliver Moldan, Pena, Tim Healey and many more… In same year, he released his first production on Iboga.
2007 was just perfect, releasing 2 CD compilations on different labels (Blue Tunes and Plusquam) “On the decks: with DJ Zombi” from Plusquam was top seller on Psyshop for more than a month. Zombi’s international career finally took off on more serious level as he visited 12 different countries in the same year, giving him experience and knowledge in the business.
2008 was a very busy year, with the continuation of Progressive Thursdays at Maxim Club, performances across Israel, and tours in Europe and Latin America. In collaboration with Astronivo, Zombi signed music with labels such as Vapour, Sprout, Tribal Vision and Blue Tunes and remixed tracks by Beckers, King Roc, Miki Litvak & Ido Ophir. In the tail end of the year, Eli moved on from event organization to focus exclusively on music.
In the summer of 2009, the Weekend Heroes project was born. Partnering with Felix Nagorsky, they have produced phat tunes ever since. Since 2012, he’s the owner of the promo group Alpha Team, which brings the biggest names in the world to Tel Aviv’s clubs. His most current project, since 2014, is the new label Beat Boutique.
